Why join a ceramics workshop?
In a world full of digital screens, working with clay provides a much-needed "detox". The feeling of clay under your fingers and focusing on creating shapes has an almost meditative effect. It's time just for you, where you calm down and create something tangible and lasting.
Besides relaxation (mindfulness), ceramics allows you to express your creativity in a completely new way. There is no greater satisfaction than drinking coffee from a cup you shaped and painted with "your own hands".
- Mindfulness and anti-stress – Hands in clay, mind on vacation. Forget about worries and focus on the moment.
- Unique items – Create your own cups, bowls, or vases that will adorn your home or be a perfect gift.
- Socializing and new acquaintances – Workshops are relaxed, often with music and laughter, ideal for meeting people with similar interests.

What does a ceramics course look like?
Most workshops for beginners last 2 to 3 hours. Everything starts with an introduction to types of clay and techniques. Then follows the most fun part – "dirtying" your hands. The instructor guides you step by step, whether you are centering clay on the wheel or building a form by hand.
After shaping, your item must dry, and then it goes for the first firing (bisque). Often workshops consist of two sessions – the first for shaping, and the second for glazing (painting). Finally, after the second firing, your unique work is ready for use!
- All materials included – Clay, tools, paints (glazes), and kiln firing.
- Small groups – Individual approach so everyone can master the technique.
- Finished product – You take home a functional item you made yourself.
Frequency Asked Questions about Ceramics Workshops
Do I need experience with clay?
No! Most workshops on our platform (labeled "beginner") are adapted for complete beginners. Instructors will explain everything to you from scratch.
What should I wear?
We recommend comfortable clothes that can get a little dirty, although clay washes off easily. For working on the pottery wheel, it is good to have shorter nails and tie back long hair.
How long does the process take from making to a finished cup?
Ceramics is a "slow" art. After shaping, the item dries for a few days, is fired, glazed, and fired again. Usually, you pick up your finished work 10 to 14 days after the workshop.
Can I come alone?
Absolutely! Workshops are great places to meet new people. Of course, you can also bring a friend or partner for a shared experience.
