The March 8 workshop “Women Artists in Art History” shines a light on the many women whose art has shaped history, even when their names were overlooked or forgotten. Art historian Nikolina Demark Rađenović will guide you through a journey from some of the earliest recorded women painters to contemporary artists changing today’s art world.
The illustrated talk is designed to be inspiring and empowering, opening up questions of visibility, recognition and creative freedom. After the lecture, you’ll move into a hands-on collage workshop with prof. Dijana Lukić, where you’ll create your own artworks using images, colours and textures to tell visual stories about women, strength, identity and voice. Collage is accessible, playful and powerful – perfect even if you don’t see yourself as “good at drawing”.
