What you do

🌿 Play of Imperfection – Making a Vase for Fresh or Dried Arrangements 🌸 We are happy to welcome you to our new, larger studio space at Svilno 110 and to the “Greeting Winter” cycle of ceramic workshops. Inside the studio it will be anything but cold – you’ll step into a warm, creative environment and a session called “Play of Imperfection”, dedicated to making a vase for fresh flowers or dried arrangements. In this workshop we celebrate irregular, organic shapes – we move away from strict symmetry and perfectly straight lines, and instead build vases with character, small “flaws” and a unique presence. Working with clay is deeply therapeutic, and our carefully designed approach helps you relax, slow down and create an object that will bring a strong visual and emotional accent to your home. 📍 Address: Svilno 110 – free parking in front of the studio ⏰ Time for all sessions: 17:30 – 19:30 💸 Price for “Play of Imperfection” workshop: 40 € / person 👨‍👩‍👧 Price for Parent & Child session in the cycle (info): 70 € / pair ✨ What will we do in “Play of Imperfection”? using slabs or mixed hand‑building techniques, we shape a vase suitable for fresh flowers or dried arrangements we allow the form to bend, tilt and wave – embracing asymmetry and creating a more sculptural, one‑of‑a‑kind vase we think about the dialogue between vase and arrangement – height, opening, proportions – so your flowers always look intentional and harmonious After the workshop, we take care of drying, firing, glazing and the second firing, and you’ll collect your finished vase later by agreement. ✨ IMPORTANT: no previous experience is needed – this workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as returning clay lovers the session is designed as a meaningful, gentle experience, supporting both creativity and inner calm group size is limited, so pre‑registration is required

Studio

Karika is a creative studio led by Andrea Peračković Žigo, an art education teacher who, in recent years, has become known to Rijeka's handmade craft enthusiasts as Čudovišna, the founder of the Čudovišna keramika brand. Andrea has been involved in some form of creativity her entire life: through self-education, later through organizing exhibitions in the gallery space of the Udruge Trag association, which she founded with a few colleagues, leading art workshops, and ultimately through years of work, design, and production of ceramics for her own brand. This led to the need to combine her primary profession—art pedagogy—with creativity and the freedom to design workshops.
