🥚 Tradition That Connects Us – Pysanky Egg‑Decorating Workshop
Dubrava Cultural Centre invites you to a traditional cultural event showcasing Easter customs through various egg‑decorating workshops, highlighting Easter eggs as a Christian symbol. Workshop leaders and heritage bearers demonstrate traditional ornamentation and historic techniques of writing and colouring Easter eggs from Croatian, Slovenian and Ukrainian traditions.
Among them is a special pysanky workshop – dedicated to traditional Ukrainian multicolour Easter eggs created using the batik (wax‑resist) technique. Pysanky are decorated with hot beeswax and dyes in layers, forming rich geometric and floral motifs rooted in Ukrainian folklore.
