What you do

🗯️ Short Comic Workshop – From Script to Collective Fanzine ✏️ This workshop takes you through the whole short comic process, from the first idea to a printed DIY fanzine. Participants will draw 1–2 page comics that respond to a jointly chosen theme, so everyone tackles the same topic in their own visual and narrative voice. In the first part of the workshop, you’ll work on your own comic script, which the group then reads and discusses together. After feedback and fine‑tuning, you’ll continue to draw and finalize your comic, either individually or in small groups. At the end, the group comes together to design a cover page, lay out all the strips and assemble them into a collective fanzine, which will then be photocopied – everyone gets their own copy of the zin to take home. 👩‍🎨 Workshop Leader – Ena Jurov The workshop is led by Ena Jurov, an illustrator, comic artist and graphic designer active on the independent scene. She collaborates with various initiatives, artists and associations, and through the design studio Plejs has created visual materials for the autonomous social centre Nigdjezemska in Zadar. Ena often paints murals and regularly publishes comics with the Komikaze network, dedicated to contemporary author comics. As part of the leilamarinaena collective she also works as a VJ, and she is the author of the picture book “Djeca s igrališta Madine Hussiny”, created together with writer Olja Savičević Ivančević. ✨ What will you do in the workshop? come up with and write a short comic script (1–2 pages) based on a shared theme draw your comic, with feedback and tips from Ena and the group take part in collectively designing the cover and laying out the fanzine, learning how a DIY publication comes together ✨ IMPORTANT: the workshop is suitable for beginners and more experienced artists – all you need is an interest in stories and drawing you only need basic drawing tools (paper, pencil, eraser, thin marker) and an open mind places are usually limited so there’s enough time and attention for each participant

What you take home
