The Advanced Natural Cosmetics Making Course is designed for those who already have basic experience and want to step into professional-level formulation of natural skincare, body care and hair care products. Throughout this intensive program, participants move from understanding raw material categories to creating complex emulsions, gels, anti-age products and hair care, with a clear focus on safety, functionality and sustainable ingredients.
The theoretical part covers the foundations of professional cosmetic formulation, key raw material categories (base ingredients, functional ingredients, cosmeceuticals, aromaceuticals, additives) and product protection: workspace and equipment hygiene, the role of antioxidants and preservatives, pH measurement and adjustment, and choosing appropriate packaging. In the practical segment, each participant formulates and makes advanced emulsions (day and night cream, O/W or W/O facial fluid), gels (eye contour gel, gel-to-milk products), anhydrous products (superfood face mask, anti-age serum), cleansing products (shower gel, shower bar, facial cleansing foam), hair care (solid shampoo, conditioner), a chemical anti-age peel with AHA acids and a stick deodorant – and takes all finished products home.
The course lasts a total of 10 “sunny hours”, delivered over two days of 6-hour sessions including breaks. Each participant receives a printed manual with theory and formulations, a certificate of completion, and ongoing access to Basium for updates in natural cosmetics and expert support in their future formulation work.
