WHAT WILL WE DO?
DAY 1 – TAG ON CANVAS
How is a graffiti letter created? What is a TAG and how do you develop a personal artistic signature?
We explore different styles of graffiti lettering, study shape, rhythm and composition, and develop our own TAG.
We then transfer our artistic signature onto canvas using Posca markers.
DAY 2 – STREET ART TOUR & STICKERS
We leave the studio and set off to explore the street art of Zagreb.
In the company of experienced graffiti artists, we discover where famous murals and graffiti are located, talk about their creation, different styles and the rules of street art culture.
After the tour, we return to the studio and create our own stickers featuring our TAG and motifs inspired by street art.
DAY 3 – GRAFFITI SPRAYS ON A LARGE FORMAT
Time to spray!
We learn the basics of working with graffiti sprays – how to hold and control the spray can, how to pull a line, apply paint, create transitions and build a composition.
On a large format, each participant creates their own graffiti piece.
SPECIAL PART OF THE COURSE
Each participant receives their own set of six Montana 94 spray cans to use during the workshop.
Any remaining sprays can be taken home after the workshop to continue exploring the technique and develop personal projects.
WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?
For children (8+) and teens who love drawing, street art, murals, graffiti, large formats and experimenting with color.
No prior art experience is required.
