The Natural Cosmetics Making Course takes you from basic theory to a complete set of handmade skincare and hygiene products. It starts with an introduction to what natural cosmetics are, why people choose them, and how they differ from conventional, industrial formulations.
Participants learn about key cosmetic raw materials: essential oils, plant oils, hydrosols, active ingredients, clays, exfoliants, emulsifiers, preservatives and more, with a focus on extraction methods and ingredient quality. In the practical section, each participant creates multiple products: solid and liquid emulsions (creams made by hot and cold process, body milk, aftershave/after-wax lotion), a facial toner, face mask and facial scrub, a targeted gel, lip balm, micellar water, and hygiene products – shower gel, shampoo and toothpaste.
The course lasts a total of 10 “sunny hours”, during which every participant makes all listed products and takes them home. They also receive a printed manual with theory and formulas, a certificate of completion, and ongoing access to Basium for updates in natural cosmetics and expert advice for future projects.
