💖 Talk: How to cope with mom guilt and expectations of mothers?
Many parents, especially mothers, know the feeling of guilt – sometimes it guides us toward change, but it can also drain our confidence and energy. When we secretly worry that we are not “good enough”, “normal” or “capable” moms, it can feel overwhelming to untangle all those thoughts and emotions on our own.
In this talk, we want to create a safe, compassionate space where you can say things out loud, hear that you are not alone and get a professional yet very human perspective on mom guilt.
🧠 What we will talk about
social expectations and beliefs about motherhood – what the “good mother” story does to our personal standards
different faces of mom guilt – when it can be helpful and when it holds us back and exhausts us
how to cope with guilt, tiredness, mixed feelings, anger, sadness or overwhelm that are common in early parenthood
small, realistic ways to offer ourselves more support and kindness in everyday life
