MINIATURE PAINTING WORKSHOP – GRIMDARK STYLE (Trench Crusade) 🎨🖤 Get ready for a full weekend deep dive into miniatures, paints and GRIMDARK aesthetics! In this two‑day intensive workshop you will paint up to three Trench Crusade gaming miniatures (of your choice), with expert guidance and a focus on techniques that let you achieve a dark, atmospheric and distinctive grimdark look efficiently. 📅 Time: 28 February – 1 March 2026, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (both days) 📍 Venue: Zagrebačka zajednica tehničke kulture Trg žrtava fašizma 14, Zagreb The workshop is designed for working on several models at once, and everything you learn can be applied to painting armies for board games, wargames or miniature collections for pen & paper RPGs. We will use water‑based acrylic paints and easy‑to‑use oil effects, with content tailored to both beginners and more advanced painters. What we’ll cover Over two days we go through the entire process – from bare miniatures to finished, based models: Planning and preparation Choosing miniatures, planning colour schemes and grimdark mood. Assembly and clean‑up Cleaning mould lines, assembling parts, preparing for paint. Grimdark basics and colour choices How to achieve a dark, gritty, atmospheric look while keeping the model readable. Basecoats Applying base colours, thinning paints, building up layers. Shading and highlighting Fast shading methods, edge highlights, texture and storytelling through surfaces. Leveling up your paintjob Oil washes, streaking, grime, battle damage and other effects.
