👧💙 Girls in Science – a special MUZZA activity for girls
Next Saturday, 11 April, during the 5th MUZZA Science Week, we’re hosting a dedicated activity for girls – Girls in Science. The idea is to bring science closer to girls through real‑life encounters with women scientists, open conversations and inspiring stories about their work and childhood dreams.
📅 Who, where, when?
👧 for: girls aged 5 years up to 8th grade of primary school
📍 location: University of Zagreb Rectorate – SEECEL, Radoslava Cimermana 88
🕙 time: Saturday, 11 April, 10:00–15:00 (one‑day activity)
📘 How does it work?
At the entrance, near the info desk, each girl picks up her Girls in Science booklet and starts exploring:
visiting stands and meeting women scientists from different fields
asking them about their work, childhood, dreams and path into science
writing down answers and notes into the booklet
At the end, each girl chooses the scientist who inspired her the most and hands in the final slip – in return, she receives a small gift pack.
🎁 Gift packs & partners
🎁 gift packs are available for the first 100 girls who take part
provided with the help of our partners Hoću knjiga, Školska knjiga, Cedevita and Ewopharma
💡 Why this activity?
to show girls that science is a place for them too, not just for “someone else”
to let them hear honest, personal stories from women working in science and tech
to help them go home thinking they could also become engineers, coders, biologists, doctors, physicists… 🚀
